With its 653 horsepower delivered by the Mercedes-Benz OM473 engine, the CLAAS XERION 12.650 TERRA TRAC is the most powerful continuously variable transmission tractor in the world. The structure maintains the exclusive feature of XERION tractors with a 50:50 weight distribution on the two steering axles. Also thanks to its 4 tracs, this innovative design not only maximize traction but also effectively minimize soil compaction.

Stronger on power transmission
With the even load transfer, the XERION can apply the full force to the ground in a way that is gentle on the soil. Even the most demanding pulling jobs can be done efficiently with this machine. The proven bolted full frame construction ensures durability and protects the vehicle even under high loads. The modular ballasting concept makes the machine as heavy as necessary and as light as possible.
Stronger Comfort
A workplace where you spend many hours on the job can be a bit more comfortable. Maximum comfort is provided in the very quiet new cab, which has 20% more legroom, various footrests, a refrigerator, and plenty of space. In addition, a 40o rotating seat gives you an optimal view of the attachments. As if on seed-green clouds, the 4-point cab suspension with a newly developed damping concept ensures paralleled ride comfort on any surface. And everything will be in sight, even a night. The XERION has 22 adjustable LED headlights, 360o light radius and 53. 400 lumen light output.
Stronger Assistance
CEMIS 1200 - with CEMIS, journey and process optimisations are combined through an intelligent interface - directly in the driver's cab. Steering via GPS PILOT with various correction signals as well as precision farming applications with Section Control and variable rate applications is easy to operate.
CEBIS TOUCH - thanks to CEBIS, you can always find everything you need to know about your tractor on 12 inches. Every function of the machine can be read and adjusted up to the minute.
CEMOS — our self-learning driver assistance system—is unique in the market. With CEMOS, the tractor and attachment can be optimised in terms of performance and efficiency.
More grunt, less guzzle
“We did about two-thirds of our seeding program with it and we swapped the tractors over a couple of times so that we could make a good comparison,” he says.
“We’re getting about 10% extra horsepower and torque without any increase in fuel consumption, which we weren’t expecting. We averaged about 45 L/hr, which was pretty much the same as our existing XERION 5000 and about 20 L/hr less than our previous powershift tractor.”

Geared up for success
Greg says his XERION 12.590 model delivers ‘next level’ performance and efficiency.
“Compared to our old tractor, we’re getting 85 more horsepower at just 1300 rpm and we’ve still got heaps more power in reserve,” Greg says. “This is pretty mind-blowing when you consider its pulling a 60’ seeder with 72 tynes and 24 tonnes of grain and fertiliser in the cart. Our old tractor was red-lining all the way.”

The best of both worlds
“The fuel efficiency has really blown me away,” Anthony says.
“We’re going through 85 to 90 L/hour, even under full load, which is at least 20 L/hour less than our tillage tractor. That’s pretty impressive when you consider these two tractors have exactly the same horsepower, the same weight and are towing the same seeder.”
