New generation of CLAAS machines revealed

Discover the latest CLAAS machinery unveiled at Agritechnica, including the next-generation AXION 9, ARION 6, and NEXOS 2 tractor ranges. Designed for modern farming operations, the new CLAAS lineup combines advanced automation, increased comfort, powerful performance, and smart connectivity to improve efficiency in the field and on the road. Highlights include the award-winning AXION 9 high-horsepower tractor, the upgraded ARION 6 with premium operator features, and the versatile NEXOS 2 speciality tractors for orchards and vineyards. With selected models arriving in Australasian markets from 2026, CLAAS continues to deliver innovative agricultural machinery built for productivity, precision, and operator comfort.

CLAAS Tractors

AXION 9

Awarded 2025 Tractor of the Year at Agrictechnica, CLAAS unveiled the AXION 9 high-horsepower tractor, as the successor to the AXION 900 large tractors.  Featuring a power range from 330 to 450hp, a new noise-reduced cab with a maximum noise level of 66 db(A) and a volume of 3 cubic metres, a new CEBIS connect terminal, new drivetrain management, efficient engines and powerful hydraulics. The five-wheeled and two TERRA TRAC crawler tractors set new standards in comfort, automation and connectivity. They were developed to deliver maximum performance, more efficiently, and be economical in the field and on the road for large farms and contractors. Sophisticated and further optimised hardware, such as the engine, gearbox and axles, is combined with a completely redesigned cab, a new electronic infrastructure and a wide range of new assistance systems up to Level 2 Autonomy.

Highlights include:

  • Optimised power train with dynamic AUTO DROOP pressure and predictive, adaptive power train management with Auto Load Anticipation (Silver Agritechnica Innovation Award).
  • High-performance hydraulics with up to 370 l/min total flow; up to 170 l/min via ¾ inch connections to a consumer.
  • Premium driver’s seats with seat ventilation, seat heater and massage function; can be rotated 40 degrees to the right and 10 degrees to the left.
  • 50 per cent less service time thanks to extended maintenance intervals.
  • New CEBIS connect including GPS PILOT steering system for flexible terminal use and configuration in the cab.

ARION 6

CLAAS launched the new ARION 6 series at Agritechnica.  Based on the mature and popular current range, whose flagship ARION 660 CMATIC in 2024 was not only a finalist in the Tractor of the Year, but has also been the best-selling model in the CLAAS tractor range for several years in a row. The top-of-the-range ARION 6.190 CMATIC model will initially be introduced and offered alongside the ARION 660 CMATIC at the start of the new model series in 2026. The new ARION 6 is designed with premium comfort and a smart power train for maximum performance and driver relief.   Exclusive comfort features include premium driver’s seats with massage function, a high-end multimedia system with wireless smartphone connection and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, as well as a new lighting concept.

Highlights include:

  • ARION 6 series with ARION 6.190 CMATIC top model from spring 2026 – parallel to the ARION 660 CMATIC.
  • New design based on the XERION 12 and AXION 9.
  • New AUTO CSM function on the GPS PILOT CEMIS 1200 automatically triggers the stored headland management CSM (CLAAS SEQUENCE MANAGEMENT) sequences.

NEXOS 2

CLAAS presents NEXOS 2 narrow-width tractors, ideal for use between vines and in orchards.  With CMATIC continuously variable transmission and new multifunctional armrest, the four new NEXOS 2 CMATIC speciality tractors are powered by a 3.6-litre Stage V four-cylinder engine from FPT with a maximum power output of 85 to 120 hp and an oil change interval of 600 operating hours. Nexos might be small, but it has powerful lifting units at the front and rear, each with a lift capacity of over 3 tonne. Controlled, from your premium seat with low-frequency air suspension and integrated multifunctional armrest with CMOTION and ELECTROPILOT.

CLAAS Greenline

Cubix – Square Baler

CLAAS released the CUBIX at Agritechnica; a Gold award-winning next-generation square baler with a revolutionary drive concept.  The CUBIX will herald a new era in square balers, as an addition to the QUADRANT product range. With a channel size of 120 x 90 cm,CUBIX is expected to go into production late in 2027, with the possibility of limited units becoming available early in 2028 The next-generation square baler is constructed with a revolutionary drive concept, AI-supported bale density control and an innovative double-loop knotter. The CUBIX, combines high throughput with consistently high bale densities.  In practice, this new concept achieves a throughput of up to 70 t/h when baling straw (up to 50 t/h with FINECUT cutterbar) and consistent bale densities of 210 kg/m³, peaking at up to 235 kg/m³.

Quadrant Baler

CLAAS presented a NIGHT EDITION of the QUADRANT EVOLUTION square baler for the first time on its stand at Agritechnica. The limited-edition special series for the QUADRANT 5300 FC EVOLUTION and the QUADRANT 5200 FC EVOLUTION with FINECUT cutterbar is visually characterised by dark grey rims and dark grey coverings in the flywheel and knotter areas, accentuated by NIGHT EDITION emblems on the side flaps.

New DISCO 1100 DIRECT SWATHER

Building on decades of experience with swath augers in the DIRECT DISC forage harvester header, CLAAS introduced its first large-scale mower with swath augers in 2024 with the DISCO 9300 DIRECT SWATHER. With the DISCO 1100 DIRECT SWATHER, an even more powerful mower with a working width of up to 10.70 m is now being introduced, which can be used in conjunction with the four-rotor swather to create a swath with a working width of up to 21 m and thus optimally utilise even the most powerful forage harvesters. Thanks to the absence of conditioners, the DISCO 1100 DIRECT SWATHER can be operated with tractors from 220 hp and is therefore extremely economical. The range of applications extends from high-yielding green rye for biogas and forage production to the gentle mowing of lucerne and low growth rates in grassland cuts. The DISCO 1100 DS isn’t expected until spring 2027 for our Trans-Tasman market.

JAGUAR 1200 Forage Harvester

How much throughput capacity is actually in the new JAGUAR 1200? Launched ahead of Agritechnica in August, as the newest and most powerful JAGUAR of all time, it has a maximum output of 1,110hp.  It’s impressive features include PICK UP with independent, variable drive of pick-up and conveyor auger, new hydraulic pre-compression, widest crop flow with 910 mm wide V-FLEX chopping cylinder, high-torque and efficient MAN twelve-cylinder with DYNAMIC POWER, CEMOS AUTO PERFORMANCE driver’s assistance, maximum driving comfort with an extremely quiet cab with joystick steering and rotating driver’s seat – and maximum reliability.

CLAAS LEXION nutrient analysis

 There is a growing demand for nutrient analysis using NIR sensor technology in grain harvest. From model year 2026 onwards, the new NUTRIMETER GRAIN from CLAAS will therefore make precise ingredient determination available on the LEXION combine harvester for the first time. The NUTRIMETER GRAIN is the first transmissive NIR measurement system for combine harvesters that enables online measurement of grain ingredients during harvesting operations. To achieve this, the cuvette transmission method for stationary centres, which has proven itself in laboratory equipment, has been further developed into a continuously operating throughput method. In contrast to the previously standard reflection method, which only measures the surface of the centres, the transmissive method measures the ingredients homogeneously through all layers of the centres.

The measured values are displayed in the CEBIS terminal in the cab of the LEXION and also transferred to the CLAAS connect portal. The data documented there can be used for subsequent storage, marketing and process planning. Since the data is already available during harvest in the field, different quality batches with different protein contents can, for example, be sorted specifically during unloading, transported away from the field separately and stored in sorted batches.
